The Register
The Church Register is a directory of all practicing free and non-free churches in the United States.
Church registers are the most important source of historical demographics for the period between the Reformation (1517) and the introduction of official statistics in the 19th century. In the 14th and 15th centuries, in many parts of Europe bishops began to require churches to keep registers.
What does the register stand for
The register serves as an overview. All churches can and will be entered here in order to provide an overview of the great variety of us-american churches
what services does the church register offer?
The official US Church Register provides insight into registered churches. Here, for example, the authenticity of a church can be checked.
Members of (public) institutions can also be viewed. However, most churches do not publicly identify their members for privacy reasons.
